CIA v FBI

The CIA called themselves Central Intelligence Agency, not the Central Agency of Intelligence, which would have been CAI.
The FBI called themselves Federal Bureau of Investigation, not the Federal Investigation Bureau, which would have been FIB.
Perhaps they thought the word "fib" described them too accurately and so they twisted their name around to avoid this connection.

Disney have dumbed down their recent movies with woke/LGBT mumbo-jumbo and are now paying the price.
Lost millions $$$$$$$
The phrase "hoist with their own petard" springs to mind.

WHAT'S UP DOCK?

Maritime Law is the law of the sea.
Common Law is the law of the land.
It is said that Britannia rules the waves.
What law then is it the UK police and courts represent on our earthly soil?
Knowing that they don't represent Common Law.

ELECTION RESULTS

I recall from when I was a teenage schoolboy, my parents said that it doesn't matter who you vote for, none of them ever make any difference for the better.
And so from that day on I decided to not waste my time going through the voting procedure when I was older.
I stuck with that decision too, especially having witnessed for myself how accurate this fact is after a few decades passing.
It seems the opposition parties in the UK are nothing other than a public facade to give the illusion of choice, making it seem like the people have a say, while the political controllers behind the scenes just continue with their agenda no matter which party is presenting it.
Then when the controllers pass their unpopular agendas onto the elected party, the populace can't complain because it was the public who voted them in.
Therefore, the country being lumbered with these banal plans from behind the scenes, regardless of which political party it is, is confirmation that voting doesn't make a difference.
It's a bit like trying to count using the zero times table - the result is always zero..!!

ADVERTS v BADVERTS

I have books on the subject of humour in advertising.
Mostly magazine sourced ads, but the illustrations & ideas they present are superb.
Wit and intelligence at its finest.
That in itself is a great advert for advertising agencies.
Badverts, on the other hand, are dim and repellent.
The ones I refer to are mostly to be encountered on the internet.
They encroach, intrude, trespass and infiltrate at almost every click.
Those who enforce it thus don't seem to be aware that this objectionable procedure has the opposite effect when attempting to lure you into making a purchase.
Repel is the opposite of attract.
How is it possible for them to not know this?
So the decision I make for those is easy - all I say is "I know not to buy YOUR products"..!!

THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX

11 years ago (2012) I opted to throw my television out.
I just unplugged it one day, and dumped it in the bin.
It was a great decision, and has been total bliss ever since.
Mainstream TV is going to have to change drastically before I'll ever consider going back to it.
To think I haven't missed out on anything..!!

PUBLISHING PUB

I took this photo of a pub called The Printers Devil in Bristol in 2002.
No doubt it was very popular with mainstream media types.!!

Somewhere along the 20th century time-line, the definition of printers devil seems to have changed from meaning a "trainee" to become "professional journalist", judging by the content of newspapers.!!

As The Associates once sang back in 1981 ...
"All important rubbish, made to publish, made to last".
And it's still the same today.

SMILE !

A dentist I used to go to had a life-size model skull on his desk.
Needless to say, the teeth were shown to be in perfect condition.
The thinking behind it was, the model made a good advert for his profession.
However, my viewpoint was that it didn't convey his profession at all.
A skull with a perfect set of teeth is what it looks like before a person visits a dentist.
For the skull to portray the dentist trade accurately, there would have to be gaps where teeth were extracted and teeth with a few fillings.!!

COVID CON

About 10 years I got myself a packet of surgical masks.
The thing is, I didn't purchase them for medical purposes, I actually got them for when I was doing artwork.
It was just to prevent me breathing in all that charcoal & chalk dust flying about in the air.

So forward-wind a few years into the COVID era.
Knowing in advance that it was planned, I didn't go along with the mask mandates and managed to get through the entire duration without ever having a mask on.
I did, however, have this one here in reserve that I customized with the wording FAKE VIRUS PROP.
This was just in case I had difficulty shopping and so on, but alas, I didn't encounter any problems when not wearing one, and never needed to wear this one at all.

But what better way to present the illusion of a pandemic than falsely enforcing the masses to wear masks.
Hey presto - a pretend crisis by the power of suggestion.
