SAME BUT DIFFERENT

Sometimes your memory plays tricks on you and you end up uncertain about something, then get yourself in a muddle.
This is often as a consequence of having 2 similar themed references stored in your memory but the 2 end up conflating to form something completely different.
The muddle is sometimes described as "getting your wires crossed" which is a kind of metaphor for your brain resembling an electrical circuit.
But I think a simple visual of this could be done using a Venn diagram.
A well known phrase in each circle and the overlap being the muddle zone which ends up as nonsense..!!
