This being the 3rd decade of the 21st century, you'd think that hi-tech computer based cutting edge design concepts, would be an enjoyable everyday delight.
We ought to be surrounded by amazing breath-taking buildings with everyone interacting in a beneficial way that would confirm the wonderous progress we have made.
But nope - slums, mundane terraced housing and bland office blocks galore.
An occasional one-off token gesture landmark building plonked in the middle of a midden for people to be in awe of, is not progress.
It's like the ratio is, 1 impressive building designed on computer v 1,000,000 buildings designed on Etch-a-Sketch.
