We were all told we needed scholarly qualifications and/or trade qualifications, because they were essential in getting a job that stated such requirements.
This rule doesn't appear to apply to MP's however, which is highlighted when there is a government "cabinet shuffle".
They jump from one job to another without needing to get any qualifications for it.
One day they are a Sports Minister, and the next they are Finance Minister.
Another can change from being a Defence Minister, then at a snap of a finger, become Culture Minister.
What a joke they make of having to be knowledgeable in a certain field of expertise.
